Anthony Wright is a passionate advocate for restorative justice with a deep commitment to uplifting his community. During his twenty three years in prison, he emerged as a leader, educator, and mentor, making a lasting impact on those around him. His involvement with organizations such as the Black Prisoners Caucus, University Beyond Bars, and the Concerned Lifers Organization and helped foster education, growth, and community among the incarcerated population. Currently, Anthony brings his extensive experience to Collective Justice, where he plays a vital role in enhancing communication efforts and advancing community education. As an experienced speaker, facilitator, and community organizer, his work continues to inspire transformative change. One of Anthony’s most significant contributions was his leadership in launching HEAL circles at the Washington State Reformatory. These 54-week restorative justice circles provide a space for individuals who have caused and experienced harm to engage in deep healing and accountability. A graduate of the HEAL program himself, Anthony’s dedication to this work has helped foster critical conversations around justice and reconciliation.
